Charlotte de Witte becomes the new face of G-Star RAW: When techno meets haute couture
This isn't just another collaboration. Charlotte de Witte is the new global ambassador for G-Star RAW. The Belgian artist announced it herself on Instagram and the Dutch brand has confirmed it: a multi-year deal that makes her the face of their universe.
And here at ANTICLUB, we care about what it means, not just the logo.
“Denim has always been part of how I move through the world—on stage, on the road, at home,” Charlotte wrote. “So becoming part of the G-Star family feels completely natural. I’m super excited for what’s to come.”
Natural, yes. A coincidence, no.
Own The Arc: Not just denim, it’s architecture
This partnership doesn't kick off with just any pair of jeans. Charlotte headlines “Own The Arc”, G-Star’s relaunch campaign for its women’s collection and its most iconic jean: the ARC.
Founded in Amsterdam and famous for its untreated raw denim, G-Star has built its identity around tailored cuts, construction, and raw edge. The ARC, a staple of the brand for nearly two decades, now connects its curved shape to the Arc de Triomphe. In the campaign, we see Charlotte ascending from the base of the monument all the way to the top. A pretty clear metaphor: from the bunker to the monument.
With Charlotte, G-Star isn’t looking for a model. They want to extend their denim identity into contemporary cultural conversations, and for that, they need someone who embodies discipline, repetition, and grit. Someone from the techno scene.
Why now? The unstoppable 2026 of the KNTXT boss
This signing caps off a year where Charlotte de Witte has been playing in a completely different league:
1. ‘The Resistance’: Her most political EP to date, with all profits donated to nightlife advocacy, alongside her live audiovisual show of the same name which has toured festivals like Rock Werchter, Sónar, and Bilbao BBK Live.
2. Flanders Expo 2027: She just announced two historic nights in Ghent for February 5 and 6, 2027. Friday features her KONNECTED concept with Nico Moreno, NOVAH, and Theo Nasa. Saturday brings her first-ever 3-hour b2b with KI/KI. Sold out guaranteed.
From curating her label KNTXT to shaping the image of a global denim brand. The move makes total sense: Charlotte has always worn black, denim, and utilitarian gear. She isn’t an artist disguised as fashion; she’s an artist whose aesthetic WAS fashion all along.
The question isn't whether G-Star needed Charlotte. It’s whether techno needs G-Star. And looking at the campaign, the answer is that when a brand truly understands the code—raw, functional, unadorned—the crossover just works.
Next stop: Audio Obscura x EXHALE at the G-Star RAW factory in Amsterdam on October 23 during ADE. Full circle.
